Registration of 2023 Vehicles at Sunyani Office of Driver Vehicle and License Authority DVLA Exceeds Expectation.

The registration of new vehicles has reached its expectations at the Bono regional office of the Driver Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA), as several vehicle owners thronged to the premises of the Authority in Sunyani on Tuesday for their new number plates for 2023.

During a visit to monitor the situation on the grounds sighted hundreds of vehicle owners and applicants were on the premises, ready to register their vehicles for their new numbers.

Mr George Okyere, the Bono Regional Manager of the DVLA, in an interview said that the Authority began the registration exercise on Monday, January 4th, and the authority had so far registered over 120 vehicles which processes are running smoothly for the acquisition of new number plates.

He said, the demand for 2023 registration number plates remained high, but added that because the Authority conducted pre-inspection and custom checkings of the vehicles last year, it had somehow reduced the pressure on the registration exercise.

Mr Okyere said, the vehicle registration exercise had also slowed down the renewal of licenses and roadworthy certificates, but gave the assurance that "everybody who comes to their office would be served."

He commended the Police for their support in helping to control traffic and maintaining law and order at the premises of the authority as many people have queued to acquire their licenses in the new year.
