The Northern Regional Crime Officer, Superintendent Bernard Baba Ananga has cautioned the youth in the region to halt accusing the aged of witchcraft.

The undertaking is rampantly taking over the region which makes it a dangerous place for the aged due to witchcraft allegations on them.

The accusations are quickly followed by an attack on accusers which undermines the morals of inhabitants.

Some youth of the Nakpali in the Zabzugu district nearly killed a 65-year-old woman over such allegations, while it's under investigation.

According to the crime officer, the police will not allow such actions to continue in the region, hence whoever is found in such activities will face the law.

According to the superintendent, the police in the region are not sleeping on matters in the Zabzugu district and they will make sure the law deals with the perpetrators.
