Professor Audrey Gadzekpo appointed  CDD-Ghana Board Chair

The Governing Board for the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) has appointed Prof. Audrey Gadzekpo, to the position of chairperson. Her appointment comes after the retirement of the of the immediate past chair, Mr. Seth Dei whose tenure ended last June 1, 2022. This information was contained in a press statement copied to Soireenews.com confiriming her appointment.

She has been a member of the Center's Board since its inception in 1998. The Board reached this decision at its 71st meeting upon the retirement of the immediate past chair, Mr. Seth Dei.

Professor Audrey Sitsofe Gadzekpo comes with a plethora of experiences under her sleeves with a commitment to making her new appointment as the Chair for the Board betterr.

Professor Gadzekpo had been serving as Vice-Chair to the Board since 2018. As a founding member of the Center, Prof. Gadzekpo has remained a huge asset to CDD-Ghana and contributed to the shaping and advancement of the Center’s growth.

She has served in multiple capacities, including chairing and speaking at workshops, seminars and colloquia, writing extensively for and serving on the editorial board of the Democracy Watch Newsletter (the Center’s official mouthpiece) and contributing to the Center’s scholarly publicationons.

She has also been involved in diplomatic briefings, led media monitoring activities and provided media training to staff.
