THE ASHANTI REGIONAL Minister, Mr Simon Osei Mensah has admonished the youth in the country to desist from the lackadaisical attitude that they showed in workplaces. 
According to him,most private companies feared to open new branches to employ the youth due to the attitude that they portrayed when they are given such opportunities. 
"The unemployment rate in the country ranges about 14 million people yet the government is eligible to employ only 1 million people so the rest depends on the help of the private institutions.
Yet they fear to do so to help the government due to the kind of attitude that the youth raises when they get such opportunity," the Ashanti Regional Minister noted.
He advised the youth to be careful and punctual at their workplaces to help its development so that it will encourage the individuals to open more companies to support the government. 
He made these remarks when presenting his address at the commissioning of new GOIL  Fuel Station at the Ahodwo Roundabout in  Kumasi. 
For his party, the Group CEO/ Managing Director for Goil Company Limited, Mr Kwame Osei Prempeh who was present as the guest of Honor encouraged all stakeholders and individuals to partner with GoIL Company for their good products. 
The Chief Executive (CEO) of Veronic Heights Apartment Units, Nana Hemaa Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem Saahene stressed the need for the young people to be proactive so that their vision of creating more jobs for the country's development would be successful.
