Price of renting chairs, mattresses and canopies increased in Dormaa

                               
The prices for renting canopies and chairs have been increased due to the recent increment of the wholesale price.

The secretary for canopies and chairs association in Dormaa Central of the Bono Region,  Asare Prince, has disclosed. 
According to him, a canopy that was sold at Ghc1,300 has now been increased to Ghc1,800.
 He explained chairs that were purchased at Ghc400 have also been increased to Ghc8,50.
 This he said has prompted the introduction of the new prices to meet their demands. 
He noted that a chair that was rented out at 60pesewas has now been increased to Ghc1  and the canopy has been increased from Ghc25  to Ghc30. 
Asare prince added that mattresses which used to be rented at Ghc2 have also been increased to Ghc3  with the price of a table increased from Ghc12 and Ghc15.
But reacting to this new development, some residents in the  Dormaa Central Municipality expressed worry over the new increment.
 They called on the association to reconsider its decision as times are hard.
