The Bono regional Minister, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene has today visited poultry farmers in the Dormaa Municipality to ascertain the extent of harm caused by the Avian influenza disease that affect birds.

The Bono regional Minister, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene has today visited poultry farmers in the Dormaa Municipality to ascertain the extent of harm caused by the Avian influenza disease that affects birds. 
The tour granted her the opportunity to for the first time interacting with the staff and heads of the department of the Dormaa Central Municipality. 
The regional Minister appealed to the staff to minimize their political argument in the office. He called on them to desist from Active Politics.
She cautioned them to refrain from the excessive usage of social media during active working hours.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Address Qattara pointed out during his welcome address that, the Assembly has written a series of letters to the Coordinating Council to help address the ongoing challenge poultry farmers are going through. 
He said, “for some time now, poultry farmers in Dormaa Ahenkro are selling off their birds due to the high prices of poultry feeds”.
He noted that the “poultry business has created more jobs for the youth and it would be a national security threat if more jobs are lost”.
