Police to descend on landowners who practice double sale of land
(DCOP), Mr. Okyere Boapeah

The Police has stated that they will descend heavily on property owners, estate agents, families and traditional authorities who sell particular land to more than one buyer.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Central East Regional Police Command, DCOP Okyere Boapeah described the act of selling a land to multiple buyers as crime and perpetrators of this nefarious act will be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others.

ACP Oduro Amaning of the Central East Regional Police Command made these statements on behalf of DCOP Boapeah, when our central regional correspondent visited the newly created Central East Regional Police Command on Monday, November 8, 2021. He assured everyone in the community who has genuinely acquired a land, to proceed with their projects and not to hesitate in reporting attacks from landguards. This, he said, will revive trust and confidence residents have in the police.

He assured landowners in the Millennium City, Pentecost, Kasoa, Gomoa Nyanyano, Awutu Breku, Gomoa Ojobi, Gomoa Fetteh, Senya Breku, Gomoa Dominate, Adzintem, Gomoa Budumburam, Odupong Ofaakor, Awutu Bawjiase, and surrounding communities to remain calm and develop their land if only they have genuine land documents.
