Angry residents storm streets to protest against bad roads
The Paramount Chief of Aflao traditional area in the Volta region, Togbui Amenya Adzongaga Fiti V says, Aflao deserves a better road infrastructure because it serves as a major source of revenue generation and also a gateway to the country.

A section of residents in Aflao within the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region have protested against the bad state of some two urban roads in the area, Komla Dumor street and Diamond Cement Factory street.
According to the protesters, successive governments have promised to construct the roads but all promises have turned down and they, however, have petitioned the President, Nana Addo Dankwa through the office of the Ketu South Municipal Chief Executive to consider the construction of the roads.
The Ketu South Municipality is the gateway to Togo and Ghana and if the road network is not good it affects businesses hence nobody seems to hear our cry and suffering.
“We are therefore calling on the government as a matter of urgency to work on our roads".
Reacting to this, the Paramount Chief of Aflao Traditional Area in the Volta region, Togbui Amenya Adzongaga Fiti V said, it is time government consider the construction of the road and the reopening of the courts and also to improve the safe environment for residents in Aflao
In March 2019, two lower courts in Aflao, district and circuit courts were closed down by the Chief Justice because these courthouses were located along a deplorable road, this, to the Chief Justice, is not a safe environment for judicial services hence the closure of the courts.
The Paramount Chief of Aflao traditional area in the Volta region, Togbui Amenya Adzongaga Fiti V has called on the government to consider Aflao’s contribution to the country’s development.
According to the Chief, Aflao deserves a better road infrastructure because it serves as a major source of revenue generation and also a gateway to the country.
