The Assembly Member for Buni electoral area, a suburb of Jaman North District in the Bono region, Honourable Okyere Charles Bediako has revealed the hardship and frustrations of  assembly members.
He lamented the Assembly members lacked financial support from the government to carry some socioeconomic development in their electoral areas.
According to him, lack of financial support from the government has impeded their developmental plans for their respective electoral areas to facilitate progress in the country.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Soireenews.com, the assembly member indicated that all assembly members across the country are willing to work assiduously to ensure the welfare of their electorates but lack financial assistance which always makes it difficult for them to achieve their goals.
He stated that there is zero financial support for them compelling them to depend solely on the monthly salaries from their respective jobs to support the needy electorates and other infrastructural development.
He pleaded with philanthropists, stakeholders and Various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to support the assembly members within the country to help them achieve their target goals by supporting the needy.
Mr Charles Seized the opportunity to appreciate one Madam Esther Essel, a Germany-based Ghanaian philanthropist who has been supporting the people of the Buni electoral area.
He pointed out the woman has procured a lot of furniture for some schools within Buni, supporting some brilliant but needy pupils with school uniforms and books to aid their education, and also supporting a lot of families which for some reasons cannot afford to feed themselves every day.
