The chief of Adom in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region, Nana Yeboah Asuamah has called on the Ministry of Communications to deal with persons behind assaults on social media.

Nana Yeboah Asuamah III in an interview with Soiree news expresses worry over the rate at which insults on highly-rankled chiefs and government offices have taken over social media in the country and the government seems not to be doing anything about it.

Over the past few weeks we have witnessed some sort of aggression between a social media influencer Twene Jonas and some of the leaders and Traditional rulers in the country, Nana, therefore, calls on the Ministry in charge to deal with the situation.

He noted that, in the olden days, chiefs were given much respect in the society but nowadays, the youth are taking advantage of social media to insult the chiefs and elderly, a situation he believes must be attended to with all the needed attention.

He is therefore appealing to the Ministry of Communications to obstruct perpetrators.
