Pantan Hospital Land Encroachment: We Are Building A Fence Wall Around To Protect Hospital, Staff- Health Minister.

Honorable Kwaku Agyeman Manu was responding to questions by the MP for Madina, Honorable Francis Xavier Sosu, to know what the ministry is doing to resolve the land encroachments of the hospital. 

The Health Minister, Honorable Kwaku Agyeman Manu, has said the ministry is currently constructing a fence wall around the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital to protect the staff and to prevent further encroachments on the hospital lands.

He said, agitations by the staff recently, leading to numerous strike actions due to encroachments by strangers on the land is a major concern to the ministry, and steps are being taken to nib it in the bud. 

He added that a 24hr security has been provided to aid the staff from unsuspected attacks from unscrupulous persons. 

Hon Kwaku Agyeman Manu was responding to questions by the MP for Madina, Honorable Francis Xavier Sosu, to know what the ministry is doing to resolve the land encroachments of the hospital. 

He also indicated that structures with the hospital which were not duly purchased will be demolished.
He added that some structures built on the hospital's land may be purchased for the hospital when the need arises. 

He further emphatically stated that the ministry had constituted a committee to look into the issues of encroachments on hospital lands, for measures to deal with future occurrences and to prevent it also from happening.
