Nigerian pop star arrested for assaulting officer
The police officer was afterward kidnapped by him in his car, abused, and threatened with being thrown into the river.

A popular Nigerian musician who had been held by the police is accused of beating and kidnapping the officer.
According to Lagos Police Command spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin, Ice Prince, whose actual name is Henry Zamani, was detained at 03:30 on Friday for operating a vehicle without license plates.
The police officer was afterward kidnapped by him in his car, abused, and threatened with being thrown into the river.
He has been detained and will be charged today, according to Mr. Hundeyin.
The musician and his staff have not responded.
