The newly installed chief of Nkawkaw, Nana Sono Adade, has rolled out an elaborate plan towards the reshape which will transform the Nkawkaw township after 26 years of vacancy.
Nana Sono Adade, made this known in an interview with soireenees.com on his first Akwasidae celebration in Nkawkaw after Kwahu Obomeng Chief Nana Effah Opinaman III, installed him as Nkawkaw chief.
According to him, he is bordered on the current congested nature of the central business area of Nkawkaw by traders who are supposed to sell in the market.
He noted the traders are now trading on the main streets and due to the lawless nature, hinted to embark on a decongestion exercise within the central business area of the town to allow for free flow of vehicular traffic, that do not promote the proper security as well as improve sanity at Nkawkaw township.
The Chief of Nkawkaw Nana Sono Adade, stressed, being a professional planner he will strategize and spearhead measures to ensure healthy engagements and interaction with stakeholders.
"This time around, the decongestion exercise would be done in a full operational way after media sensitization and educative programs to inform the public of the new development and therefore pleaded with the stakeholders to also send the message to their fellow unions within the area to create awareness on rebranding and warn politicians of interference when it's due operational."
On his part, the Kwahu Obomeng Chief, Nana Effah Opinaman III, who enstooled the newly Nkawkaw chief expressed his excitement and delight over the installation of the new Nkawkaw Chief, after 26 years of vacancy, and wished him the strength to have a successful reign.
He explained that Nkawkaw needs Development and reassured, he will give and do everything within his power to help improve the living standards of the people of Kwahu Obomeng and Nkawkaw at large.
He expressed, his commitment to ensuring that, Nkawkaw becomes the cleanest city when addressing the sanitation issues in Nkawkaw is of utmost importance for him.
