The Youths of the Nkoranza in the Bono East Region Region have denied Mr Kwaku Soroh who acclaims to be the  Omanhene of the Area from entering their Palace together with his security escort on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

Speaking to soiree News, spokesperson of the Omanhemaa of the Nkoranza Traditional Area, Nana Atta Fosu Ababio who doubles as the Saanahene of Nkoranza Traditional council explained that heavy security men in uniform were seen escorting the self-acclaimed Omanhene, Nana Kwaku Soro into the Omanhene palace during blackout within the hours of 3-4 am.

He informed that they were fortunate to spot him and his entourage at the return of the lights and hurriedly gathered men to stop them.

He narrated that they prevented anyone one from entering the palace because there have been issues relating to Chieftaincy at Nkoranza and matters regarding it has been handed to the Asantehene, Otumfo Osei Tutu II, and the court to challenge the validity of His Kingship, therefore, since he is not a recognised paramount chief of the Area, there was no need to entertain his visit.

He revealed that the youth will not allow anyone to enter the closed palace until  Court and the Asantehene's final verdict.

They swore not to leave the premises from now till the authorities intervene because they fear the unknown Police and Military men might pocket assets in the building hence the need to protect and defend it.

They further appealed to the Government and authorities to define the responsibilities of the Police and Military men instead of abusing their job.
