NDC Poises To Win Dome/Kwabenya Parliamentary Seat In 2024 Showdown
NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC Congress (NDC) has indicated its commitment and readiness to win the Dome/Kwabenya Constituency Parliamentary Seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

According to the party, its parliamentary candidate Mrs Fautina Elikplim Akurugu is ever ready to capture Dome-Kwabenya seat for the NDC and the Parliamentary Candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Mike Oquare Jnr is no threat to her, who is making a second attempt at the seat.
The assurance was contained in a press statement issued by the Dome/Kwabenya Constituency Executive Committee of the NDC, led by the Chairman, Mr Isaac Lamptey, and Mrs Akurugu to extend its heartfelt appreciation to all members, supporters, sympathisers and other well-wishers who attended the Dome/Kwabenya NDC's flags outdooring ceremony held on Sunday, 18th February, 2024.
In the statement which was copied to Soireenews.com, the leadership of the party in the area thanked all "our financiers who supported us to procure the 10,000 customised flags that were outdoored. 
"We are very grateful to the General Secretary, Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, for gracing the occasion as our special Guest of Honour. We also thank Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah, the former CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for doing us the honour of chairing the ceremony. Hon. Nii Armah Ashietey, former Greater Accra Regional Minister, H. E. Alhaji Said Sinare, former National Vice Chairman, Senior Comrade Kobina Ade Coker, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Hon. Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, the Greater Accra Regional Secretary and his deputy, Comrade Patricia Akuyea Addy, who were all present as guest speakers deserve high commendations.
"We are also thankful to Dr Toni Aubynn, former CEO of Ghana Minerals Commission, Dr. Johnny Andoh-Arthur, a Senior Lecturer and a TEIN patron at the University of Ghana, and Dr. Abena Pokuaa Adomakenten Atuahene Ackah, a Strategic Management Consultant and a lecturer and Governing Council member, Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana, for taking time off their busy schedules to attend and make the programme a very colourful one.
"We thank the representives of the Gadangme and the United Gadangme Caucuses for attending the ceremony. The Constituency Chairmen of Trobu and Kpone/Katamanso, the Sege and Okaikoi Noth Constituency Organisers, the Madina Constituency Youth Organiser, former Vice Chairman of Dadekotopon and many other former constituency executive committee members, both within and outside Dome-Kwabenya, we appreciate your kind gesture," the statement which signed and issued by Communication Officer of the NDC in the Dome- Kwabenya Constituency, Mr Clifford Awiah said.
In the statement, the party further thanked 
the Dome/Kwabenya NDC Council of Elders, led by Senior Comrade Clement Vanderpuye and the former DKC Council of Elders Chairman, Senior Comrade Max Cobbina for making the event memorable.
"Also worth thanking are our Ward Coordinators who helped in mobilising members to the venue as well as our honourable assembly members who came to offer their invaluable support.
"We are equally grateful to our branch executives, members, and supporters for dutifully owning the Flags Outdooring Ceremony," the statement said.
The statement stressed that "Your consistent demonstration of passion, determination, hard work and love for the NDC continues to fuel our hope of winning the parliamentary seat for the first time ever and also garnering majority votes for H. E. John Dramani Mahama in December, 2024."
