My destiny is music, not marriage, says Wendy Shay

Wendy Shay, a Ghanaian singer and signee with Ruff Town Records, claims that her music profession and popularity have taken precedence over all other goals in life, even getting married.

My destiny is music, not marriage, says Wendy Shay

The singer and songwriter behind the famous song "Uber Driver" recently revealed on a Twitter podcast that she will not let anything, including marriage, stop her from pursuing her dreams in music.

"At the moment, I'm not even considering getting married since music is my calling and what makes me significant in this world. Therefore, I doubt that I would exchange marriage for something similar.

The singer decided to put her music career ahead of marriage because she feels she has more to accomplish in the business. She also wants a spouse whose life goals are compatible with hers and who won't waver from this demand.

"You [the prospective husband] should support my destiny. I don't think that is enough for me to pay attention to you if all you do is love and take care of me, Wendy Shay continued.
