The Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Dr Adomako Kissi has outlined environmental sanitation management plan to help make every electoral area within the constituency clean in order to ensure quality and good health for his constituents.

According to him, having been a professional health practitioner, the good health of the people of Anyaa Sowutuom is his topmost priority and assured to engage the youth to intensify education on environmental sanitation management in the constituency.

Dr Kissi gave this assurance in an interview with some journalists when he joined the youth to embark on a cleanup exercise at the Antieku area of Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency in Accra on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, to clean choked gutters and weed bushes along the streets.

According to him, the clean-up exercise which coincided with the celebration of this year's founder's day was organised to supplement the Greater Accra Regional Minister making Accra Work Again Agenda.

He minced words when he assured to support the Greater Accra Regional Minister to make the city of Accra clean and cautioned the residents leaving in Anyaa Sowutuom and its adjoining communities to stop indiscriminate dumping of waste into gutters and open places.

Dr Kissi, therefore, appealed to the people in the area to rekindle the communal spirit and undertake regular clean-up exercises in their various homes.

He stressed the need for leaders in the community to humble themselves and unite the people to bring the needed development to the area.

The MP urged the people not to see their participation in self-help projects as a burden being imposed on them, saying participating in communal labour helped to accelerate the pace of development.

Dr Kissi pointed out that proper sanitation practices helped to reduce the spread of infections, also improve health and sanitation.

He also took the opportunity to wish the Constituents happy Founders Day, and remind them of his sacred duty to promote the country, improve upon its fortunes and ensure its success.

On MMDCEs appointment, Dr Kissi stated that the delayed of MMDCEs nomination has been affecting development in the constituencies.

To this end, he appealed to the people to maintain calm for the rightful selection from the President.
