Sanaahene of Enyan Denkyire Traditional area who double as Amankrado of Enyan Obontse in the Ejumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region of Ghana, Nana Osadeeyo Etuafu, has expressed grave worry over the current increasing rates of insecurities in the country which has occasioned rampant killing of innocent national security personnel and civilians.

According to the chief, the current increasing rates of insecurities in Ghana has made many of them afraid of their lives and called on President Nana Addo Dankwa to swiftly provide adequate security equipment to the police officers to help fight the perpetrators of these heinous acts in order to reduce the crime rates in the country.

"I want to use this platform to advise Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Jame Oppong-Boanuh to make sure it is adequate of equipment which will empower the police personnel of Ghana Police Service to emulate them in the good faith," Nana Osadeeyo Etuafu stressed.

Addressing a press conference to announce the date of this year's annual Ahobaa Kateba festival celebration, Nana Etuafu indicated that the rate of insecurities in the country is increasing in number which needs contingency actions to address this pressing issue.

He lamented that the way and manner the armed robbers are overpowering the police officers whenever there are robberies attack banks bullion vans and individuals was creating fear and panic of the people in the country.

On the rising issue of the 'sakawa' menace, the chief minced no words when he advised the youths to stay away from such bad behaviours because struggling to get quick money generally leads to practices 'sakawa.'

"I can say on the authority that our young people generally failed their final year examinations involved themselves in 'sakawa' behaviours. So government should make sure that there would be enough encouragement to advise the youth to stay away from that behaviour.
