MP For Agona East Procures Meters And Cables For Kwesukum Electrification Project

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East Constituency of the Central Region, Mrs  Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has procured electricity meters and cables for the engineers of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to connect the residents of Kwesikum to the national power grid, making them enjoy electricity for the first time.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East Constituency of the Central Region, Mrs  Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr, has procured electricity meters and cables for the engineers of Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to connect the residents of Kwesikum to the national power grid, making them enjoy electricity for the first time.

Ghana’s electricity extension is currently around 86 per cent and with this latest development, the number of communities without electricity will reduce.

The electricity engineers/workers are currently on site working to connect the constituents to the national grid and that the scores of the residents living in Kwesikum congratulated Honourable Sawyerr for her work done.
Speaking in an interview with some senior journalists, the Agona East female MP pledged the commitment of her administration that all the communities and villages which currently have not been connected to the national power grid would attain universal access to electricity by the time her administration leaves office.
Mrs. Sawyerr expressed joy about the project since it would enhance their socio-economic conditions.
According to her, access to electricity also offers the communities development prospects to trigger rapid job creation and other infrastructural openings for the constituency.
"I continue to prioritize the social and infrastructural intervention needs of my people," she stressed in an interview with the journalists.
