Kente Weavers Association in Duadaso No.1, a community in the Jaman North constituency commended the immediate past Member of Parliament for the constituency, Mr Siaka Stevens for fulfilling his promise made to them during his campaign season.

According to the Association, the MP during his campaign promised to purchase materials and equipment for them to enhance their operation. The items have been delivered as promised hence the appraisal.

Delivering the items, Mr Siaka Stevens disclosed that, Duadaso No.1 could be one of the finest tourist attraction centres in Ghana due to the kente weaving.

He also promised to help the workers embark on a tour to Bonwire for educational purposes.

The Kente Weaving Bussines in Duadaso No.1 in the Jaman North constituency has been in existence for some time now but lacks materials and equipment for its modernization and operations.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Association, Madam Attaa Theresah on behalf of the association accepted the materials and expressed their appreciation to the former Member of Parliament for the kind gesture.

She also pleaded with Mr Siaka Stevens to help them acquired structures to facilitate their operations.

The Jaman North district since its conception has had a lot of developmental challenges which has rendered the district one of the less developed districts in the country.

Due to political differences, projects are always halted whenever there is a change of MP or government, a situation residents and Traditional Authorities have been expressing worry over but to no avail.
