Motorbike Thief Sentenced To 12 Months Imprisonment

The Wenchi Magistrate Court Presided over by His WorshipIssah Abdul Wahab has sentenced Naangwene Irene Kwame Bonaire also known as Kwame Banayere, age 23, a casual laborer to 12 months imprisonment for stealing a Red Royal motorbike worth GH¢ 6000.00 

Motorbike Thief Sentenced To 12 Months Imprisonment

The Wenchi Magistrate Court Presided over by His Wordship Issah Abdul Wahab has sentenced Naangwene Irenne Kwame Boniere also known as Kwame Banayere, age 23, a casual labourer to 12 months imprisonment for stealing Red Royal motorbike worth GH¢ 6000.00

The accused person pleaded guilty to his counts and was sentence to 12 months in hard labour for unlawful entry and stealing.

The Police Prosecutor of the case, Chief Inspector Victor Samaji said complainant of the case is a Teacher residing at Wenchi Low - Cost.

The fact of the case was that on February 11, 2022 at about 8:00 am the convict Naangwene Irenne Kwame unlawfully entered his house and stole his Red Royal motorbike worth GH¢ 6000.00.

The Prosecutor told the court the complainant then went in search of his motorbike and  upon tip off, he with thee help of the police managed to arrest the accused person.

He was then brought to the police station, together with the stolen motorbike and lodged a formal complaint with the police.

During investigations, the accused person admitted the offence and informed the police that he stole the motorbike.

After investigations, he was charged with the offences and arraigned before court and has been sentenced into prisons custody for twelve (12) months with hard labour after full trial.
