The Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE) for the West Gonja Municipal Assembly Honorable Saeed Muhazu Jibril has been appointed by the President H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo as Regional Minister-designate for the Savannah Region.

Honorable Jegede as he is affectionately called was appointed into the office to Head the West Gonja Municipal Assembly on May 8, 2017, and has served as an Assembly member for Laribanga Electoral Area.

Honorable Jegede was born and brought up, lived and worked in the Municipality in all his life.

The Savannah Region is one of the six (6) newly created Regions in Ghana to help expand the rapid scope of development.

Honorable Jegede will succeed his predecessor Honorable Adam Salifu Braimah to manage the administrative affairs of region if approved by the vetting committee of Parliament.

The Public including his family, friends and other sympathizers in the region have poured out congratulatory messages on his current appointment.
