Savannah Region Appreciates Alhaji Asei Mahama As Deputy Health Minister

Savannah Region has extended a word of gratitude to President Akufo Addo for appointing Alhaji Asei Mahama Seini as Deputy Health Minister.

The Region said the appointment of Honourable Alhaji Mahama is another giant step in fulfilling the long-held dream of Ndewura Jakpa and the people of the Gonjaland in bringing development to the region.

"The Savannah Regional Chairman and his executives on behalf of the Region appreciates the tremendous gesture reciprocated by H.E the President to the people of the Gonjaland.

"This clearly fulfils the admonition of the President in his previous speech to the people of Gonjaland that "your brother can be one far away “kyebi” and not just one you share blood relations with".

The Communication's Director of the New Patriotic Party in the Region, Mr. Mohammed Issah made this known in a press statement copied to Soireenews.

SAVANNAH REGION CONGRATULATES HON. ALHAJI ASEI MAHAMA SEINI-MP AND DEPUTY HEALTH MINISTER DESIGNATE

Following the latest release from the seat of government-Jubilee House as regard the Deputy Ministerial list, the Savannah Regional Executive Committee wishes to once again thank H.E the President of the republic, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for the gesture done our infant Region. The appointment of Hon. Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini as a Deputy Minister of Health is another giant step in fulfilling the long held dream of Ndewura Jakpa and the people of Gonjaland in bringing massive development to the Region. 

Hon. Mahama Asei Seini served as a lifetime patron and philanthropist from the days of the then Damango Daboya Constituency to the present Daboya Mankarigu Constituency. After one unsuccessful attempt at the Parliamentary Candidacy of the then Damango Daboya Constituency, He led the NPP in the same constituency for the 2008 general elections. Hon. Alhaji Asei kept on with his support to the party even after losing the general elections until He made it gallantly by winning both Presidential and Parliamentary in the 2020 elections. He is also the first NPP candidate to annex the Daboya Mankarigu seat since its creation. The Hon. Minister-Designate is equally the first candidate to win the constituency with over 4, 000 votes difference. Courtesy President Akufo-Addo, Hon. Asei Mahama is the first MP/Minister and the second Minister after Hon. Samuel Tika Yeyu, for the Wasipe traditional area.
