Man, 28, Arrested For Inflicting Cutlass Wounds On Stepfather In Assin Nunua

The Assin Fosu Police Command led by the Assin Fosu Divisional Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr  Daniel Kwabena Darko, have arrested a 28-year-old man, Akwasi Sadique for inflicting cutlass wounds on his stepfather.

The Assin Fosu Police Command led by the Assin Fosu Divisional Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr  Daniel Kwabena Darko, have arrested a 28-year-old man, Akwasi Sadique for inflicting cutlass wounds on his stepfather.

He wounded his stepfather during a fun time at a drinking spot in Assin Nunua in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

According to reports, the suspect's wife had an altercation with someone else and the chiefs and elders of the area were solving the issues.

In this light, the victim, Kwaku Amponsah, locally known as Kwaku Bonsam, 42, admonished as to why he did not involve him in the settlement.

The suspect Akwasi Sadique, who was not happy with the approach of his stepfather at the drinking spot, lost his patience and started stabbing him with scissors and cutlass.

The victim who was bleeding profusely was later sent to St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu after the local CHPS Compound has given him first aid.

Meanwhile, the police have since launched investigations into the matter.
