The Ahafo Regional Minister, Honourable George Boakye has stated that making the region clean is a shared responsibility of the government, Zoomlion, and the people of the region.

Speaking at the short ceremony to hand over two Companion trucks to Zoomlion at Goaso on behalf of the government, the Regional Minister said it's President Akufo-Addo's vision of making Ghana the cleanest country in Africa hence the collaboration with the waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana to purchase companion trucks to collect refuse in every District.

The Kontihene of Goaso Traditional Council, Nana Nyenhyira Kwadwo Kumah on behalf of Goaso Manhene, Nana Akwasi Bosompra l, charged opinion leaders in the region especially political leaders, Religious and Chiefs to stop begging on behalf of sanitation offenders when they arrested to serves as a deterrent to others.

He, therefore, appealed to Zoomlion to provide more dust bins to the people and also placed same at vantage points for the people to keep their waste.

The Ahafo Regional Manager of Zoomlion, Edward Ziddah promised to handle the vehicles well.
