A 48-year-old Ghanaian entrepreneur, philanthropist and indigene of Asamankese in the Lower West Akim District of the Eastern Region, Mr. Owen Owen Kwame Frimpong popularly known as Darling Boy, has finally received a massive endorsement from the various delegates and members who branch executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area.

Mr Frimpong who doubles as Chief Executive Officer for Darling Boy Fan Club has begun winning endorsement of influential members and delegates of the party in the area, ahead of the NDC parliamentary primaries.

This was after Mr. Frimpong toured hundred and thirty four (134) branches within the Constituency to solicit support from the delegates and members of the NDC branches in the constitueny to contest the upcoming party’s parliamentary race.

However, all the branch executives of the NDC in the constituency have given the green light to Mr Frimpong to pick the nomination forms which would be opened in  February 22, 2023 to contest the parliamentary race after they carefully listening to his visionary messages.

There are pieces of documentary envidences that all the branch executives of the NDC in the constituecy have pledged their unflinching support to Mr Frimpong and declared their readiness to work to get him elected as the next NDC Parliamentary candidate for the area to lead them in the 2024 general elections.

Some of the branch executives purportedly stated that they believe in the competence of Mr. Frimpong to wrestle the Lower West Akim parliamentary seat from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), hence their massive endorsement of his parliamentary candidature to win the race in order to lead the NDC to win the seat.

While wishing him well, the NDC members reportedly hammered on the tramp card of Mr Frimpong as a new face with fresh ideas, with international and local connections.

Speaking in interview with Soireenews.com, the visibly joyful Frimpong thanked all the branch executives of the party in the area for taking their times to listen to his messages.

He further congratulated his team including the Former Lower West Akim constituency Secretary of the NDC, Alhaji Lawal, Former Youth Organizer, Mr George Akomah, NDC branch executives including the 31st December Branch of Jamestown/Beposo Ward Chairman, Fifii and branch Women Organiser, Madam Maa Comfort who accompanied him to visit the branches of the constitueny.

He assured members and supporters of the party to wrestle the seat from NPP MP in the 2024 general elections if the delegates and members of the NDC voted massively for him to win the NDC upcoming parliamentary primaries in the area.

She is hoping to become the next NDC candidate for the constituency in the elections scheduled for 13 May this year and called for support from the delegates and members of the NDC to achieve his intended dream.

He noted that is the best parliamentary candidate to win the seat for the NDC in the next presidential and parliamentary elections.

Mr. Frimpong stressed that he would change the economic situation of the people in the Lower West Akim constituency if elected to represent the area.

He is hoping that NDC delegates from the Lower West Akim constituency will vote for him to lead the party in the next parliamentary elections.

"If I win the primaries, I'm sure the general election won't be as difficult as it will be in 2020," Mr Frimpong boasted.

He said, "I want to contest because I think we need leadership in the Lower West Akim constituency. The leadership hasn't been very good because the people of Lower West Akim haven't got the development they want.

Mr Frimpong said, "I didn't start working in the constituency when I came into politics. I started working there when I was a child".

"I have been using the Darling Boy Fan Club in promoting quality education in the locality. I have been empowering and developing society through selflessness, personal commitment, financially and innovatively in the Lower West Akim constituency. I have been supporting community development, personal development through education, finding jobs and scholarships for people to see what I could do for development. 

He urged all his opponents to run a good campaign to make it easier to get along after the election.

He stressed that "All my rivals should also remember that the most important thing is to win the general elections. It doesn't matter if you are an MP because you don't gain much if you are an MP in opposition, so let's not do things that will hurt the party.

 Mr Frimpong concluded by saying: "It is important for the NDC to be united going into the 2024 general elections. That's the main way we will win the general elections."
