The members of the Vetting Committee for the appointment of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) have expressed great worry about the manner in which some incumbents are misinforming the innocent public.

The reports reaching the committee indicate that some incumbent MMDCEs particularly in Akyem Abuakwa and its environs are rating themselves to have performed better than their competitors.

A situation, according to the committee that clearly undermines the appointing authority of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The flagstaff house is obviously unhappy about the situation and such persons must desist with immediate effect.

"We wish to inform them to desist from such unacceptable acts as that have the tendency to bring division into the party and undermine the Presidency. We want to assure all aspirants to disregard such information and be assured of a fair selection process," the committee noted
