Liverpool is the likely destination for Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho according to the Independent.

The English player was the number one target for Manchester United in the just-ended transfer window as the Red Devils kept track of the 20-year old for months but ended up not doing enough to official land the winger.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side could not sanction a move for Sancho as they failed to trigger his £100million release clause.

Liverpool were initially interested in the player during the restart but pulled the plugs off the deal due to his price valuation leaving Manchester United to deal to bargain. A deadline of August 10 was given to settle the buyout clause of the player by Dortmund’s sporting director, Michael Zorc yet United once again failed to meet the club’s condition.

The News outlet added that Jurgen Klopp has spoken to Sancho in the past and has been impressed so far with the winger's performance and a deal next season could see the former City academy player feature for the Reds.
