Jadon Sancho will be a Manchester United player by Monday, the Sun reports.

The Borussia Dortmund winger has been the centre of interest in this summer transfer window following his robust move to the Premier League, an agreement Dortmund are not willing to consent to after Manchester United failed to meet the player’s asking price of £108m on August 10.

The news outlet reports that Dortmund are resigned to losing the player and the behind the scenes incident reveals that Sancho prefers a move despite the German club confident that the player is content to stay.

The 20-year-old was left out of Dortmund’s squad for the domestic Super Cup game against Bayern Munich which they lost by 3-2 at the Allianz Arena.

The club publicised that his exclusion was as a result of “respiratory infection” yet reports yet much is into it.

One source said: "There's a bit of a standoff going on... it's a case of who blinks first.

"Will United up the offer or will Dortmund accept a lower bid?

"The Red Devils are considering making a final bid for the young star on Wednesday in the hope of forcing the deal across the line.

Sources close to the long-running transfer saga reckon it could be completed for £95m, lower than Dortmund's £108m asking price.
