EURO 2020 Q: England through to Euro 2020 after Raining Goals at Wembley; England 7 - 0 Montenegro

Harry Kane scored his first Hat trick on International duty which made him England's highest scorer in a calendar year since 2006, when Peter Crouch also scored 11 goals. Only George Hilsdon in 1908 and Dixie Dean in 1927 (both 12) have scored more in a calendar year for the Three Lions.

Kane take home the match ball after scoring his first hat trick on the night

England have qualified to the Euro 2020 tournament after scoring seven goals against Montenegro at Wembley on Thursday night.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed his first England start in more than 18 months as James Maddison was made to wait for his first Three Lions appearance.

The Liverpool midfielder replaced the injured Ross Barkley in one of five changes to the side that beat Bulgaria 6-0 last month. Trent Alexander-Arnold took the place of Kieran Trippier at right-back.

John Stones was recalled in defence as Tyrone Mings dropped to the bench, while the suspended Jordan Henderson was replaced by Mason Mount, who made his 23rd appearance of the season.

Raheem Sterling was dropped out and replaced by Jadon Sancho in the three-man attack.

Hary Kane collected the match ball after his third hat-trick for his country, and there were further strikes from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Marcus Rashford in that blistering first half.

England passed the hour without adding to their first-half total.

That changed when Sofranac unwittingly turned in past his own goalkeeper, diverting Mount's wayward shot past Mijatovic after Sancho had been unable to steer home Rashford's deflected cross.

The seventh goal came courtesy of Abraham, his first for England as he slid in to convert Sancho's cross with a little over five minutes remaining.
