Liverpool playing body swerves European Super League

Captain and Vice-Captain of Liverpool, Jordan Henderson and James Milner respectively have released a statement against the club’s involvement in the European Super League.

The statement according to the players is a joint one from the entire playing body of the Premier League Champions in the midst of the expected collapse of the breakaway European Super League.

Liverpool are part of the six English clubs that joined the force yet a meeting by the organisers to scrap the idea due to criticism by fans and pundits across the globe is on course.

Although the Reds have not officially confirmed their exit yet the playing body’s decision is a statement of intent to withdraw from the controversy.

“We don’t like it and we don’t want it to happen.

This is our collective decision.

Our commitment to this football club and its supporters is absolute and unconditional. You’ll never walk alone,” they tweeted.
