Kotoko STRIP Voting-Rights from CEO
Mr. George Amoako, Chief Executive Officer

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has taken away their voting rights from Mr. George Amoako, the Chief Executive Officer of the club on trust issues in relation to the upcoming Ghana Football Association Elections.

George Amoako and Nana Gyambibi Coker were initially chosen by the club as the official delegates of the FA.

Isaac Donkor has taken his position to represent the club with Nana Gyambibi on the upcoming GFA elections.

“Our Executive Chairman, Kwame Kyei, told us of his decision to bring in Isaac Donkor and we had to respect it. He told us that he wanted Donkor and me to be Kotoko’s delegates. However, I do not know the reason for the change in delegate.” Nana Gyambibi confirmed it on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

Sources close to the club has revealed that George Amoako and the club seem to have different choices in terms of which candidate to vote for despite the club endorsing one.

The Porcupine Warriors, like the other 15 Premier League clubs, will have to vote for their preferred contender with a general rule that delegates are to vote for the candidate their respective clubs support in the polls.

The GFA Elections will be held on October 25, 2019.
