Lekzy DeComic: I used to 'fool' for free, but now I get paid to make people laugh.
Lekzy DeComic, a stand-up comedian from Ghana, has disclosed that while he used to share jokes for free, he is now compensated for making people laugh.

There's nothing so fulfilling in this world than doing something that you are so passionate about and you don't get tired of doing," he said in a conversation with Amansan Krakye.
He said on Cape Coast-based Property FM, "Like doing something which doesn't require too much work for you to accomplish it and this is something I used to do for free when I crack jokes for my pals to laugh.
But now that you've been on stage for perhaps 15 to 20 minutes, he said.
The amount of money you'll be handed may be greater than what someone would make after working at a bank for a month.
The well-known comedian said that if any of his children choose to follow in his footsteps in the future, he would gladly support them.
If any of my children wants to be a comedian, why not? I'll gladly allow them because there's so much money in being a comedian," he said in a statement that MyNewsGh.com was able to record.
