LAND BORDERS STILL CLOSED- INTERIOR MINISTER

He buttresses his point that COVID 19, was the initial reason, but now it is about security, due to the threats of coup D'etat in the surrounding countries.     

The Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery has insisted that the Country's borders remained closed.

Answering questions on the floor of Parliament, The Minister insisted that the reason for the closure was still essential, though he was aware of the economic hardship on the people dotted in those areas.

He buttresses his point that COVID 19, was the initial reason, but now it is about security, due to the threats of coup D'etat in the surrounding countries.     

The Questioner, Dzifa Goashie, MP for Ketu South had asked a question on whether the Government had any plans of opening those borders, especially the Aflao Border, and how to assuage the negative economic impact.
