Jaman North District branch of Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) has donated a number of sanitary items to a CHPS compound at Kabile in the Jaman North District.

Speaking to newsmen after the donation, the secretary of the association, Mr Tawia Fargas, stated the gesture was to support and save lives in the various health facilities. 

The items, which included toilet rolls, paper tissues, soaps, drinkables, and other personal protection equipment, are meant to facilitate quality health delivery.

Receiving the items, Mr Salia Alhassan, a nurse in charge, expressed appreciation to the association for the kind gesture, saying the items would help the staff perform their duties to satisfaction.

Madam Krah Stella, Secretary of the Kabile branch of the association, added donations by the Association across the district is to augment the work of the health personnel to continue their vital work, and improve their emotional wellbeing.

She urged the youth to show up in apprenticeship programs to be able to create their own businesses and employment and appealed to the government to consider and award local tailors and dressmakers with contracts to produce school uniforms.
