Parliament must make laws to guide contents of TV and Radio - Togbe Adzilakle Howusu XII

The Warlord of the Asorgli State, Togbe Adzilakle Howusu XII has called on the legislative body of government to enforce laws to deal with money doublers on TV and radio stations in Ghana.

According to him, ritual money-making in the era of the youths who are the future leaders of the nation is becoming too rampant, hence the need to halt before it destroys the future of the country.

Speaking on the Kasoa murder and the rampant blood-shedding these days, Togbe said, parents must take responsibility for protecting and knowing the ins and outs of their children and the kind of associations they engage themselves.
 
Addressing issues of insecurity across the country, Togbe lamented on the happenings in the country thus, killing for rituals, boyfriends killing their girlfriends - becoming too much as a  result of non-compliance to laws of the land. 

He, therefore, called on the Parliament to as a matter of urgency enact laws to guide the activities of TV and Radio stations that allow such people to propagate their evil messages on air to pollute the mind of our future leaders. Togbe Howusu asked the government to put a stop to those mallams and ritualist on televisions.

He also made mention how they planned to station some youths at vantage points in the Volta Regional capital in order to put a stop to the recent attacks in the capital, for example, the burning of the State Transport buses but the police pleaded to help them with that and till now nothing has been done about the situation.

He admonished the general public to be vigilant in all their day to day activities, cautioning landlords to know the kind of people they rent their properties to in their homes for the sake of protection.
