The items were handed out on Christmas Day, Sunday December 25, 2022 at the Akroso in the Eastern Region and marked the climax of a week-long event by the MP to bring Christmas cheer to the less privileged in the Ghanaian society.
The MP who is popularly called Oluwaa has donated items like pieces of clothes, bags of rice and oil to about 4000 aged and widows in his constituency.
This is the MP annual initiative, ostensibly to give back to the less privileged in the society and that he has been performing this annual event since he has become the MP in the constitueny.
Speaking in a n interview with Soireenews. com, Mr Aboagye stated that he realized that most at times widows and aged are neglected as they found difficult to celebrate the Christmas festivity as is expected.
"As MP, he has taken it upon himself to do something for them also every year so that they can also feel better," Mr. Aboagye noted and urged corporate Ghana to give back to the less privileged in society.
According to the MP, he has been feeding widows and aged since he represented the constituents but it was a herculean task which can only be undertaken constituency with the support of all corporate bodies in the country.
“He has been doing this consistently for many years in the area and I will urge others to emulate what l have been doing for the less privileged across the constituency,” he said.
Some of the beneficiaries couldn’t hide their joy and thanked the MP very much for the support he has been given to them every year.
