England captain Harry Kane has reportedly confirmed that he is staying and committing himself to Tottenham Hotspurs amid transfer brouhaha.

The Three Lions talisman told Tottenham of his desire to leave the club earlier in the year, having gone seven years as a star of the team without a trophy to his name.

Manchester City has been heavily linked with a transfer bid for the £150million-rated forward, but he committed himself to Spurs in a tweet sent out today.

"It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I've had in the last few weeks," he wrote.

"I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success #COYS." Kane tweeted.

Harry Kane is under contract at Tottenham until 2024, having signed a six-year deal in 2018.

The Sky Blues have been linked with a huge move for ex-Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, as they move their attention to new targets.

Among the first to react to Kane's statement was team-mate Sergio Reguilon, who replied with a post of two teddy bears hugging.
