Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nzema East Municipal Assembly in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Constituency of the Western Region Madam Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah, has stated that she gives gross respect to the chiefs and other traditional office holders in the five recognized traditional areas within the electoral areas in the municipality.

 
According to the MCE, she is a responsible mother of three children who is law abiding citizen of Ghana, and the chiefs who are the major agents of the development in the areas can not be her enemies.
 
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com via telephone call today to set the record straight over the matter, Madam Amoah pointed out that her enemies who were making sure that she fails to steer the affairs of the Nzema East Municipal Assembly were going round fomenting such trouble to create the impression that she is not in good term with the chiefs, which is not the true reflection on the grounds.
 
The MCE stressed that she would be a total failure of the many tasks and duties which were entrusted to her hands by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo if she doesn't show respect to the chiefs.
 
She indicated that she has demonstrated her commitment to ensuring peaceful coexistence among her and chiefs in the area, and called on some of the residents who had gone to join hands with her enemies to run her down to rescind their decision since she is for peace and unity.
 
The MCE denied allegations leveled against her to the effect that she visited two chiefs out of the five in the recognized traditional areas when she assumed office.
 
Madam Amoah described the current attack meted to her by her enemies as unjustified, unwarranted, and mischievous, saying that since he assumed office he visited all the five recognized traditional areas.
 
She noted that she first started her familiarization tour with the chiefs and elders of the Kutukrom in Gwira to pay homage to them.
 
She pointed out that she interacts with the chiefs and elders and also knows the terrain of Gwira North.
 
During the meeting, according to the MCE, the chiefs and traditional office holders including the youths enumerated some of the individual challenges which included their road networks, sanitation, insecurity, maintenance of their clinic, and unemployment of the youths.
 
She pointed out that she gave them assurance that measures would be put in place by the government through the assembly to fix their problems and pledged their support to help her bring socioeconomic development and growth to their areas.
 
According to the MCE, she represented the President in the Nzema East Municipal Assembly and that she would be the last person to fight against anybody who has a problem with her leadership and assured constituents that she would continue to engage everyone irrespective of he or her political affiliation.
 
She indicated that her outfit has planned to actively engage chiefs and other traditional leaders as agents for development in their respective jurisdictions.
 
The MCE said she would ensure that the traditional heads are given meaningful roles to play in governance and development.
 
According to her, since she assumed office, she has demonstrated to the people in the municipality that she has what it takes or technical know-how to bring social and infrastructural development to the doorsteps of the various electoral areas within the municipality.
