The affordable housing project situated at Lahagu in the Tamale Metropolis in the Northern Region has been abandoned.

The construction of the project started in 2007 under former President J.A Kuffour’s administration.

The Tamale affordable housing project aims to deliver 100 housing units of low-cost houses for low-income earners at Lahagu in the Tamale Metropolis, Ghana.

Even though it was initially promised to be one of the magnificent edifices to support workers in Tamale Metropolis, has completely been abandoned.

The contractors who were working on the project have moved from the site due to a lack of funds.

As a result, the place has now become homemade for felons and mentally challenged people.

Part of the project has been swallowed by weeds breeding reptiles, snakes, and all sorts of dangerous animals.
