Assemblymember for Atwima Nwabiagya North District assures better roads soon

Assemblyman for Achiase Electoral Area who is also a presiding member at Atwima Nwabiagya North  District Assembly, Honorable Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh has assured electorates that soon their deplorable road will be fixed to enable easy accessibility.

Per his words, constituents have every right to complain and hold the government accountable to his promises since they voted purposely for a change yet it is expedient for them to trust in the New Patriotic Party government to deliver its promises during the second term of reign.

“Residents voted for the infrastructural benefit and they have every right to criticize the government if he s not attending to their needs. They have been expecting an improvement for a while and we are all hoping the second year of roads launched by the president will profit them through better roads and infrastructures,” he said.

A Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) started by the Chief of Wansamire, a suburb in the District, Nana Owusu Akyiaw is being neglected which has affected its purpose due to lack of money. Honourable Prempeh assured that the Assembly would support the completion of the project as promised earlier through the District Common Fund when the time is due.

He called on individuals to engage in self-help projects and not rest on the government only for their infrastructural development.

“The chief has done well for building CHPS compound to a certain level. The assembly brought him woods for roofing and we have promised him 100 bags of cement of which we will fulfil when our next common fund arrives.

“Self-help projects is missing in our communities today. People used to build projects and when the going gets tough, the government is invited to support yet of late, the attitude is no more and we encourage that. Depending on the government only tarries our progress and just like the CHPS compound built by the chief, such is what we seek.”

He finally assured that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s Year of Roads Campaign phase 2 will resolve every road challenge in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District therefore residents should exercise patients.

He made certain that until the time is due for the face-lift, the Assembly will fix the road in such a way that people who ply on it would have no difficulty.

“We are hoping that the drains will be built for the road to filled and completed when the Year of Road phase two begins next year. Since that is not yet ready, we will soon bring a grader to work on some part of the road to make it good for use."
