Horror In Oti Region: Police officer Has Brutalized Teacher Amidst More Tensions
A 29-year-old teacher of Kabre Akura JHS in the Nkwanta North District of the Oti Region, who also doubled as the Treasure of Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT)for Sibi- Damanko Local, Mr Daniel Kwame Jabul was on March 2, 2022, brutalized by a police man identified as Nuhu at Damanko police barrier!

A 29-year-old teacher of Kabre Akura JHS in the Nkwanta North District of the Oti Region, who also doubled as the Treasure of Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT)for Sibi- Damanko Local, Mr Daniel Kwame Jabul was on March 2, 2022, brutalized by a policeman identified as Nuhu at Damanko police barrier!
According to the teacher, his brothers were travelling to Northern Region with a motorbike without a helmet and were stopped at the barrier with the request that without the helmet they would not be allowed to travel.
Following this development, the brothers called the teacher via a telephone call to bring a helmet.
Upon arriving there with the helmet, the police officer who was not even in a uniform asked that since the Motor number plate had got missing, they won't be allowed to still travel with the motor.
The teacher however substituted his motorbike which had the necessary documents for his brothers to be used to travel.
The police objected to this and arguments ensued between the teacher and the police.
The police officer Nuhu, not in uniform cleared the teacher down leading him to sustain injuries in the face.
The victim was immediately handcuffed allowing blood to ooz through the face.
He was then taken to the police station in Damanko instead of the health centre for treatment.
The police side of the story could not be accessed!
The victim has currently repotted the matter to the District Police Commander at Kpassa for necessary actions.
Our further checks revealed that the said police officer is a driver of the patrol pick up of the police service stationed at Damanko.
