Honorable Okudzeto Ablakwa: The NPP government had 500 billion Ghana Cedis but nothing to boost off.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Honorable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has indicated that the NPP Nana Addo-led administration has about 500 billion Ghana cedis, but that they have nothing to show for it.

Former President Mahama had less than 500 billion, he claimed, but many development projects need to be boosted.

He went on to say that the NPP government's Free SHS program cost $7 billion, so what have they done with the remaining $500 billion?

He addressed this in Sunyani at the Tein Akamanso Summit of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).

Some of Kwame Nkrumah's factories, he claims, require 2 billion Ghana Cedis to stay afloat, but the government has done nothing about it.

He praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Fourth Republican Constitution, which lasted 30 years.

The first through third Republican constitutions all failed because those who designed them did not consult the population of this country.

According to him, the NDC held a consultative conference in 1992 when all Ghanaians were invited to participate in the writing of the 1992 constitution.

In an interview, UENR Tein President, Emmanuel Agyei, stated that the NDC is the only political party that can fix the country's unemployment problem.

Tein members on the UENR campus, he claims, are ready to put in long hours to bring the party to power.
