Vice President Yemi Osinbajo led prayers for Nigeria on Sunday, September 12, 2021, during his visit to two worship centres in Abuja.

At the All Saints Anglican Church in Wuse Zone 5, and the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David Parish, Utako, the VP, clergymen and congregants prayed for an end to insecurity.

Osinbajo and other government officials attended the dedication of new buildings opened by the denominations.

The services were attended by Anglican leader, Most Revd. Henry Ndukuba, Bishop of Kubwa Diocese Duke Akamisoko, Pastor Gbolade Okenla, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, an RCCG Assistant General Overseer, among others.

Iluyomade prayed for leaders and urged Christians to remain steadfast with God especially in times of difficulty.

“God will intervene personally and arrest those causing trouble in the country”, the cleric said.

In his remarks, Osinbajo noted that the forces of evil and of hate are more vehement than ever.

“The battle between light and darkness is more intense than ever, but we will prevail”, he added.
