Eden Hazard is looking forward to the return of Champions League football during the weekend.

The midfielder has disclosed that he would like to repeat a version of Zidane’s famous volley in the Champions League final against Leverkusen.

Real Madrid in 2002 took the lead in the eighth minute through Raul but Lucio equalized five minutes later before Zinedine Zidane scored the winning goal on the stroke of half time. The French international converted with a left-footed volley into the top corner to secure Los Blancos their ninth European Cup.

When asked which Champions League goal he would like to score, the Belgian said,” That's an easy one for me," Hazard told UEFA.com.

"Zinedine Zidane, Champions League final against Leverkusen. Left volley, top corner, bye bye."

It is going to be an odd feeling to have the Champions League taking place in August, but Hazard is simply excited that top-level football is back.

"Yeah, I can't believe it," he said.
