The Western North Community Water and Sanitation has distributed Personal Protection Equipments(PEPE'S) to some Basic Schools in the Region which includes Dwenase Methodist School.

Global Hand Washing Day fell off over the weekend on October 15 2021, an advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing and personal hygiene.

Speaking to the media during the presentation, Mr Kwaku Osafo Affum, the acting regional director for Western North Water and Sanitation, said over a decade, community water initiated handwashing programmes because people have to maintain personal hygiene by cleaning their hands always whether been dirty or not.

He added that it was part of their activities to teach the children how to wash their hands under running water with soap.

Mr Osafo Affum disclosed that some limited boreholes would be constructed at Wiawso, Akontombra and Bodi.
        
Mr Abraham Fletcher, Sefwi-Wiawso Municipal Education Director speaking with Soireenews reporter Nattybongo on his part, received the items and expressed sincere appreciation to the donors for presenting the Personal Protective Equipment (PEPE'S) such as plastic bowls with metal stand.

He added the Handwashing practices are to be inculcated into the children to be a part of their lives.
     
The beneficiary students expressed their happiness for receiving such items and pledges to make good use of them in this COVID-19 era.
