Techiman North adjudged Best District in Bono East region

The Techiman North beat Techiman South, Atebubu-Amantin and Nkoranza South to win the best District award.

Techiman North has been adjudged as the best performing District Assembly in the Bono East region for the 2019/2020 year under review.

The award ceremony which took place at the District capital, Tuobodom critically focused on areas of education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, and most importantly peace & security.

Mr Mohammed Bashil Tijani, President of Ambassadors for Peace and Justice Foundation Ghana in an interview with Soireenws said it was important to assess the performances of various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the country and honour deserving Chief Executives in order to motivate and improve productivity amongst staff.

Mr Tijani noted that such assessments would go a long way to ginger other Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) to up their game for the general good of the country. The Techiman North beat Techiman South, Atebubu-Amantin and Nkoranza South to win the best District award.

The award-winning District Chief Executive, Peter Mensah who could not hide his joy was grateful to President Nana Akuffo Addo for giving him the opportunity to serve in the NPP government and dedicated the award to Nananom and the good people of Techiman North.

Superintendent Ohene Boadi Bossman Techiman Divisional Police Commander commended the District Chief Executive for his humility and enormous contributions towards the development of the area and called on other MDAs to emulate.

Presiding Member for Techiman North District Assembly, Yeboah Asuamah Daniel congratulated the DCE and described it as well-deserving.
