Road users on the Industrial Area are calling on the government to fix their roads in are in a deplorable state.

SoireenewsNews visit to the area revealed that the current nature of the road poses great danger and a lot of health problems to the people with checks showing that, residents find it difficult to move and trade by the side of the street due to the dusty nature of the road which is a threat to the health of pliers and sellers.

Faiza Zachariah,  a resident speaking to Soireenewsews told that the current nature of the road is affecting them economically and that government should come to their aid and fix the challenge. 

"Anytime the government comes to Tamale, he plies on this road so does he want to tell us he doesn't see the poor nature of the road? Just take a look at this place, the harmattan has worsened things and we have to make a living through selling food. what kind of leadership do we have. it is an indication that he is not doing well," she said.

Another person also told that whenever it rains the road becomes inaccessible and it's a great challenge for sellers who make ends meet by the roadside.

He added that traders hire a water tanker to water the place so that dust will not be too much yet it does not solve the problem which needs permanent fixing.

"We shop behind the road and the dust is not helping at all. We always water our part to prevent more dust but its always the same. The government must come to our aid," he told.

The needy residents appealed to authorities to resolve the challenge with urgency since its deplorable state poses danger to their health.
