A task force from the Ga Traditional Council (GTC) has seized instruments of some churches after they flouted the ban on drumming and noise-making in the capital, Accra in observations of this year's annual Homowo Festival.

A task force from the Ga Traditional Council (GTC) has seized instruments of some churches after they flouted the ban on drumming and noise-making in the capital, Accra in observations of this year's annual Homowo Festival.
Some of the affected Churches included Abeka and Odorkor branches of the church of Pentecost, Darkuman Light House Chapel International, and some other churches within the Accra metropolis.
According to the council, rituals were performed on Friday, May 14, 2022, to commence the festival which means that all forms of noise must be halted till the festival is over.
Meanwhile, the Christian Council of Ghana has reacted to the Sunday incident.
According to Christian Council, the churches affected and all churches should ensure strict adherence to the rules laid down in observance of the festival.
