Omanhemaa of Ahafo Kenyasi number 1 organizes clean up exercise  

Omanhemaa of Kenyasi no1 at the Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region, Nana Adutwumwaah Mmoronsah has today organized cleanup exercises to tidy up the community. According to the chief, the initiative was a part of measures to ensure cleanliness in the area and to also ensure unity among his subjects.

Speaking to the media after the exercise, the representative of Omanhemaa of Ahafo Kenyasi no1, Owoahene Acheampong expressed the chief’s gratitude to the residents for turning out in their number to honor his call. He said the initiative will not be a nine-day wonder but a routine one.

During the exercise, some of the participants did not only express delight in the initiative but also promised to avail themselves anytime the exercise will take place. They, therefore, called for the routine of the initiative so that Ahafo Kenyasi and its environs will be a better place.

Speaking with a SoireeNews reporter, the participants expressed worry over how the communal labor has been abandoned by most of the communities in the country. They believe that is one of the best ways to improve the standard of the community.
